My blog is journal of my adventures in openly wearing polish and how friends, family and strangers react. Photos of the colors I have tried are included with my posts.

Picked up some new colors.
I stopped at Trade Secret today in our mall. They finally got in the Pirates collection minus the silver shatter. I bought "Skull and Glossbones" and "Mermaid Tears". I thought my daughter would like the "Mermaid Tears". I'm sure I will try it too. The girls at trade secret must have picked up on the fact that I know way to much about the OPI stuff to just be shopping for my daughter. I like going back there because they make me feel welcome and treat me like any other customer. Kim at OverallBeauty.com in conjunction with Cindy at BB Couture have been the absolute best at helping me to explore the world of color. I feel like a traitor when I don't buy stuff from them. I like the BB Couture polishes for the microshimmer. But for creme colors, I like OPI.

Hey Jim! I can get OPI for $4.25 and China Glaze for $3 if you're ever looking or want some sent let me know, I'll flat rate box them to you like I do for my sis in law :D
ReplyDeleteHey Jim, I get the same treatment at Ulta. The first time I ever went in I was wearing OPI "Suzi Loves Sydney" and wearing flip flops. Several of the women working there made a real fuss over my feet and complimented me on my choice of color. I too am partial to OPI when it comes to cremes, but I do like some of their shimmers, and am thinking of trying some from the Pirate collection. For unique colors I like BB Couture.
ReplyDelete@Manicured Monkey, That an awesome price. I might take you up on the offer. Thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteWow!, that is a great price.
ReplyDelete@Kevin, Wow thats a really bold color. It's funny because I'm thinking it takes some real balls to wear red! There are a couple of similar reds in the BBC line that I have looked at. For now it's baby steps for me. I have been trying to move towards a larger pallet of colors. I want all my friends to kind of get used to me with my toes painted before I try an awesome color like that. Post a picture if you have it. I Googled the color to see what it looks like.
ReplyDeleteHey Jim. I typically only change color once a week, and don't have any pics of the "Suzi Loves Sydney". Will swatch it Friday, and get back to you.

The silver shatter is gorgeous! My life wouldn't be complete without it haha! Have you tried the mermaid's tears yet? I just did a nail look with it and I think the color is wonderful!
ReplyDelete@boardasnails, I haven't tried it for a pedi yet. I will post a picture when I do. I bought it for my daughter, but I can't help but try it.
