Fuggen Ugly with zebra stripes

I am trying to see what nail art wouldn't look to girly on my nails. I thought of this combination and gave it a try on my thumb.Fuggen Ugly with zebra stripes. Laurie at http://dressedupdigits.blogspot.com/ suggested zebra stripes. I'd do my other nails if the regional boss wasn't going to be visiting tomorrow. Per company dress code, polish should be sheer or light in color. So, I'll just put some Essie Sugar Daddy on for tomorrow;  I think it looks healthier than plain clear polish.

I decided to do the rest of my nails for Wednesday at work. Some nails are ok and others look like I had too much caffeine.

  1. I agree essie sugar daddy is awsome. You should also try OPI It's a girl. That's my favorite sheer milky pink.

  2. Well I for one LOVE it! Animal print to me is always cool and edgy and rarely girlie. I think it looks awesome AND I would love to see rock some Lesbihonest with zebra stripes on both toes and fingers!

    1. I haven't taken Lesbi-honest for a pedicure yet. I might just take it with me next Friday. My nail tech still keeps saying she like Santorum the best of all the polishes i have brought in. It is such a boring color for toes. She may give me a funny look, but they are my toes and they just want to have fun!

    2. hahahah omg Jim that cracked me up! They are my toes and they just want to have fun--STILL laughing! I know everyone says it's the cardinal sin to topcoat Manglaze but I've seen Lesbihonest with topcoat and it's gorgeous. I really think you can rock it. I think your zebra stripe mani looks awesome too--definitely not girlie girl at all!

  3. If they ever give me crap about the dress code which says polish should be sheer or light in color, I will have to wear Lesbi-honest or F@#$k off and Dye.

  4. People can be so silly. Too bad they gave you crap over this but that's not overly surprising. Just takes one person to complain and they come after you.

But it's very cool to see that you wear polish on your fingers at work. That takes nerve for many reasons. I don't wear it on my fingers mostly because I prefer it on my toes, but never hide my toes when in public, except when dealing with a potential customer. I'm self employed and do construction work so dont want to lose a job over it.

Glad I found your blog. Hope you'll follow mine, if you haven't already. It's at: http://menwithpaintednails.blogspot.com/

  5. Wow, this looks flawless and I love matte shades as a base for nail art. Love it!

  6. Thanks, It wasn't until I tried the stripes on Fuggen ugly that I realized a matte base color looks good with nail art. I used to hate matte and now I am a convert.
