I hadn't planned on wearing this color last weekend. However, my daughter had just bought it and we were going for pedicures. It was a perfect color for a beach day. The last four or five days have been rainy and now the color feels cold. I want to wear a warmer color. I just received some nail mail yesterday with Manglaze Santorum and Lesbi-honest. I couldn't resist buying Lesbi-honest just for the name and label. I may wear it on my toes with a topcoat.
I tried Santorum on my nails tonight. I guess I didn't bring my "A" game. The results were less than stellar. I don't fault the polish, I still have issues with getting the right amount on the brush. I don't have enough to make it from the base of the nail to the tip, and other times I end up flooding my nail. After it dried, I saw what a disaster it was, so I put a clear top coat on it. The color looks great with a top coat; it draws out the shimmer in the polish. It is a nice rich brown. I like it way better than the person it was named after. My daughter hated the color. I asked her what she didn't like and I got "it's brown". I was relieved that it was just that she isn't into brown. I told her I would switch to blue tomorrow. I have been wanting to wear Ski Teal We Drop again. It is my favorite dark teal color.
This shade is so beautiful, I love the shimmer in it. Looks very nice on you.

ReplyDeleteWell I'm both loving and hating this pedicure! Love it because it's gorgeous and blue is my "problem" color as in I have a zillion of them. Hate it because we had almost 6 inches of snow dumped on us yesterday lol! We are a long, long, long, LONG way away from sandal weather here lol!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter would give anything to play in the snow again. She wants to plan a visit to the mainland in the dead of winter. It is nice to be able to wear flip flops year around. I don't own a real pair of shoes anymore. Sneakers and flip flops is all I have.

ReplyDeleteI go for a pedi every other week. I actually would change polish more often if I could do it as nice as the nail tech. They do such a nice job, I feel guilty if I remove it before I see them again. I've been to Germany, France, Switzerland, and the UK. Unfortunately, I never made it to beautiful Sweden.

ReplyDeleteThank you Nolitoshy! I've decided I like Yodel Me On My Cell a little better. They are both wonderful beach colors. Yodel Me On My Cell is a little deeper Turquoise. I got bored with this pedi and added Yodel Me On My Cell to half of each nail and added a line of glitter to separate them.
