My Custom Nails

KC Metallic Sapphire

Silver stamping that overpowered the base color.

OPI Jade is the new Black

I put my new custom nails on last Friday night and have been enjoying them ever since. I have changed colors 4 times in the last 6 days. The custom nails fit perfect and are lighter than acrylic. They don't feel like weights on my fingers like the acrylic did. I am super happy with them. I may order a second set in a longer length. I am happy that these will not damage my natural nail. I still have battle scars on my nail beds from the electric file used during fills of the acrylic. I do miss getting them done. I used to enjoy our chit chat and having someone pamper you for a while. I will still go see her for a manicure when my cuticles get out of hand.

I am still amazed how little people look at my hands. I have been wearing the Metallic Sapphire for the past two days to work. It wasn't until I was carrying a box and stopped at the receptionist desk to let her know I was leaving that her eyes widened and she said "Your nails are so pretty". I have to say it made my day. People usually totally ignore my polish. I am such a polish nerd that I really want to talk about polish with people.

    1. That is a shame. It is so much a bigger deal in peoples mind than it is in reality.

    2. I even spoke with my preacher about it and really, he isn't against it! He called it a preference, nothing unbiblicle about it! But I do live in the middle of the Bible belt and their are a lot of narrow minded rednecks around here! But I'm still going to wear my polish nomatter what!

  2. They do look very smooth and shiny. Glad you are enjoying them. Wife said she's read many negatives about these having problems such as popping loose, hard to remove, losing them, etc, so let us know how you like them after a few more weeks, a month, etc.

Also, I totally love it when I get positive compliments on my painted toes. Makes you feel good and it is fun to talk about the polishes. Also love being pampered during a pedicure, so I totally get that too.

    1. She is seeing a lot of comments from the influx of people who, like me bought them over the holidays during the sale. We are all still in the learning curve. I will keep everyone posted on how they work out for me.

    1. Thanks Laurie, It is a good compromise between fun and functional. They are long enough to give lots of room to stamp. Also they just get past the end of my finger; that means no painting the end of my finger anymore and makes clean up easier.

    1. I am very happy with them. I need to file the index finger because it is way longer than the others. Once I do that, they will be perfect.
