Bad Ass Nails!

Each step: Base , Sponge, Stamp, and Spikes

Me after a haircut and color to hide my grey.

It is funny that the studs for the bad ass design came from a store called "Born Pretty"! I still chuckle thinking about it. Laurie from Dressed up Digits also bought the same spikes. We decided we would do a manis using them and post them around the same time. Diane, another friend is also joining in, but she doesn't blog. Lauries turned out amazing. You should check her mani out. I wanted mine to look like a distressed armor look. I hope that is how it comes across. The weather has not been very conducive to stamping, so it isn't perfect. I tell myself that it just adds to the distressed look. No one is going to say this mani is fem!

Supplies:

OPI - Skull and Glossbones for the base color
BB Couture - Briquette for the sponging
BundleMonster stamping plate BM-313
Seche Vite  topcoat

  2. They are bad - ass. I saw both of yours and Laurie's manis;my only question is how was the wear? Were you able to go about your day and do stuff? The look is so cool I sort of want to try but would be nervous of the studs popping off before I even got to work.

    1. I super glued mine on. They were on there good! I was so careful. Before I took them off I tried coming my hair with them and banging stuff on purpose. I had to soak them in acetone to get them off. It was fun for a day, but I was glad to take them off.

  3. Holy crap! Meanest nails I've ever seen! I'm sure I'd soon have injured myself pretty bad had I attempted something like that myself! :D

    1. Thank you! It was one of those times when what I envisioned actually worked out on my nails. That doesn't happen all that often.
