My blog is journal of my adventures in openly wearing polish and how friends, family and strangers react. Photos of the colors I have tried are included with my posts.

Relationship between color and mood.
It has been almost a week since trying BBC "Night Ops", I really like it but it doesn't match my mood. Maybe I should rephrase it, it doesn't match the mood I want to be in. Dark is where I'm at and I want something to lift me up. This is one of the things that men miss out on most of the time. Using color to express or set a tone for your day or week. For years I have felt like part of a drone army, all looking the same. I wore BBC "Blue Christmas" last time I wanted something up lifting. Anyone have a suggestion? Do you think the color of the polish can help change your mood?

In a way yes. I find that when I try something new or out of the ordinary and it really looks good, it gives me a bump in the ego. Most times though the bump is due to the response I get from someone else who has taken time to notice.
ReplyDeleteDirectly or indirectly it has had an influenced your mood. So when you need a bump in your mood, you can wear a bolder color that may elicit positive comments. Just looking at my feet when they have brighter colors can lift my mood.
ReplyDeleteOh, I definitely think you can help your mood with your color choices - I'm wearing purple toes and neon rainbow fingers, and I smile every time I look at them. My husband thinks I'm silly, but on the other hand, he smiles too!
ReplyDelete(just found your blog, nice toes, btw!)
Thanks Lizzie, The last two times I wore polish on my fingers, my day had a lighter mood to it. However, it can be distracting when I'm driving. I find myself looking at my nails! I ordered a bright orange and it should be here for my pedicure on Friday; that should set the tone for the weekend.
