BB Couture - Impact Driver

I really like this blue. Impact Driver was my very first pedi with color. It is a subdued blue but still has shimmer to it that gives it a multi-dimension look. I wish I had a camera that did closeups. The picture doesn't really do it justice. Next time I wear this color, I will get a better picture and zoom in on a big toe.

On a side note, I bought a bunch of discounted Jordana nail design polishes. I tried reproducing the design on my toes on my thumb; it came out pretty good for a first attempt.  Maybe there is hope for me?

  2. Not a chance! I love that pedi. Someone wanted more pictures and I had a picture from a couple of months ago I never posted. My oldest daughter said I am getting way to into this; she didn't even know about the blog. The 14 year old tends to correct my grammatical errors if she sees me typing a post.

  3. Jim,

What kind of camera do you have? Most point and shoots have something called "macro" mode. It puts the lens in a position where it will focus very close up. Usually this mode is signified by a flower. You may have the ability to do a close up and not even know.

  4. Kris,

I broke down and actually opened the owners manual for the camera, even though it goes against the man code. The closet selection they have for macro is selecting "Food"! That selection says it works at distances from 0.17 feet to whatever. If my math is correct, that is 2 inches. I don't believe that. But I will continue to experiment with the camera to find the best settings.

  5. 2 inches is possible. Besides nail polish, one of my other passions is photography. If you are doing macro shots your best bet is to not use the flash, but take the picture in a well lit (preferably full sunlight) location.
