Update on the "Men's French"

I finally go the Essie Vinyl Bikini in the mail today. Now I have everything I need to give it a try. However, it may be a couple of weeks since I love my current pedi and wouldn't think of taking it off before my next one. I am going to practice on my fingers. If it's not too noticeable, I will wear it to work.

I tried the "Like Linen", it is very runny. If you limit the amount on the brush, so it doesn't run all over, you can't hardly see where you went. After two coats on the tip it is still translucent. I used a small paint brush to clean up the line. Now if I can do the other left hand with out messing up the right, I'll be doing ok. I want grow the peeling parts of my nails out and then keep polish on them to strengthen.

  1. Jim,

I decided to play around on my fingers a bit as well. I've ordered Vinyl Bikini and Like Linen as well, but don't have them yet. I put one coat of Sally Hansen Sheer Ivory on with no base coat, one coat of Essie Kisses and Bises, and then one coat of OPI top coat and used a white nail pencil to whiten the undersides of my nails. I was just going to keep it on over the weekend, but when I went to take it off last night, my wife said, why don't you leave it on, it isn't very noticeable, so I did.

I guess I'm going to have to figure out how to clean up my cuticles.

  2. I am glad to hear your wife is supportive. Mine pretended to be until the divorce; then she started telling everyone I was gay and a cross-dresser.

  3. Sounds like she is just trying to hurt you. Sorry to hear that.

  4. Kris, you are correct. However, I decided to not play that game. I've decided people will think what they want. If their seeing my toes painted makes them think I'm gay, so be it. I am not homophobic. I am going to enjoy my Nail polish passion.
