My blog is journal of my adventures in openly wearing polish and how friends, family and strangers react. Photos of the colors I have tried are included with my posts.

How can you girls function with long nails.
I had the day off today. I was bored while waiting for it to be time to pick up my daughter. So I put a nail tip on my index finger and trimmed it so that it was just to the end of my finger. I found it nearly impossible to text. I tried with the tip of the nail and it didn't work reliable. I had to use the finger print area of my finger to text, which made me make more fat finger mistakes than usual. I guess you would have to retrain your brain to do things differently. I had to do that after my left wrist was fused. I took a while for my brain to realize that it doesn't bend there anymore. Now I hardly notice it. It is so much easier to paint a nail that extends to the end of your finger. You can seal the free edge with out painting the skin on the end of your finger. If I can ever get my nails to grow with out peeling. I want them to grow out a little bit.

My nails aren't as long as some of the ladies, but I tell you what's most annoying: TOUCH SCREENS. My Android doesn't recognize my nails tapping on it, so I have to hold my finger sideways to text. Blah.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole! I never thought of looking at those brushes.
ReplyDeleteif you have peelies try OPI Nail Envy, sensitive and peeling, works like a charm
ReplyDeleteFunny you should suggest that, I statted using it a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully it will help. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about Nail Envy... also L.A. Colors Hardener/Strengthener. It's blue and I get it from the Dollar Tree. It works great for a lot of things!
ReplyDeleteIf it's getting too hard to txt I know it's time to trim the nails :p And I use (and love) Sephora By OPI's base coat and strengthener.
