Avon - Black as Night

I was wearing Avon's Black as Night matte polish today. I was amazed how well it held up while working on plumbing under my house. It was perfect until I got PVC cement on my nails. Wherever it touched my nails, the polish wiped right off. This evening I decided to see what stamping would look like on a matte black. I tried the zebra print and really liked it. I tried another design just for practice. The designs that are supposed to cover the entire nail are to narrow for any finger except my pinky.

Until today, I would have said I don't like matte polish. As the day went on, it grew on me. Now I can see my self wearing the matte black now and then.

  2. I'm surprised you haven't tried out ManGlaze yet - that stuff wears like IRON and if you want it shiny, it looks good that way too! My favorite matte polish, hands down. And your stamping is awesome!

  3. Thanks Jossie and Nicole. I will have to try Manglaze. Until yesterday, I thought I didn't like the matte finish. Now that I've changed my mind, I have got to try it.

    1. Thanks Sarah, I am just trying to share my love of polish from a guys perspective. As much as I love wearing polish, I enjoy seeing pretty polish hands and feet. I now know what it takes to keep them that way and it makes me appreciate them more.
