Polish Fridays

Ski Teal We Drop
I decided I would make Friday the day I always wear polish to work. I think it is a good way to kick off the weekend with a little color. I am not sure if they will balk at the color being so dark, but I thought I would give it a try. Ski Teal We Drop is one of my first polishes I purchased and still one of my favorites. I would love to do some stamping, but that would really meet with some funny looks at work. I need to find some plates that have cool gender neutral images.

On another note, I was wondering why I always swatch polish on my left hand. I always polish my left hand first. It would make sense if I was right handed, but I am a south paw. After doing my left hand and spending too much time cleaning up, I realized there was less cleanup on my right hand. I think it might be because my left hand isn't used as much. I had to have my wrist fused after an accident. My hand would dislocate when my daughter held my hand or I did other small things with it. It doesn't bend anymore, but there is no pain! Polish takes less of a beating on that hand.

  4. 1. You are awesome. 2. There are lots of stamping designs that don't look "girly" to me. I'll look through my plates and see if anything screams out at me. I agree with Laurie on houndstooth.

  5. That's very cool that you can at least wear polish on your fingers at work. This color looks good on you. Good luck with getting the fashion police to accept the stamping.

    1. They didn't like the Manglaze Fuggen Ugly with the black zebra stripes, but I think I am wearing them down.

  6. Keep wearing them down Jim!!! I think you rock your polish. I did a ruffian mani today with chains on it and thought of you lol! Chains are manly!

  7. The second Bundle Monster set might be a good one-- there are a lot of cool geometric designs and such that aren't strictly feminine-- you can look at all the plates on Amazon.

  8. Only one person said anything today. She asked me if i was confused still wearing polish. I said sometimes I just feel like being different. She said she won't worry until I come to work in a dress. It was all said jokingly and we both got a laugh. Management didn't say any thing. So I will definitely be wearing polish on Fridays and sometimes other days if the urge strikes me. I am going to look at some of the plate suggestions and will order some this weekend. I hope some of the patterns are larger, since my thumbs are big and the Konad images are to small for my thumbs.

    1. I really love the Bundle Monster sets and I'm sure they are in Hawaii!! You can order individual Konad plates on Amazon. I think the houndstooth would be a cool look for you as well as the zebra or tiger images
