Stamping is addictive!

Right hand at night

Left hand in sunlight

I am so glad I am in "Adventures in Stamping" group on facebook. They have a Sunday challenge that we vote on each week. It gets me to try things that I might not have thought of or have never attempted. This week was silver or gold. I used BB Couture 45 Caliber for the silver. I knew it would be a good polish for stamping. It is almost a one coat polish. The black is of unknown origin. I applied 45 Caliber to the entire nail. After that dried, I took my black striping polish and drew a diagonal line freehand across each nail. Then it was easy to fill in the rest with the black polish. I learned that from the nail tech that does my toes. I always watch how she does things. I cleaned up as best I could and applied a coat of SV. Now the stamping fun starts. I picked a design that didn't require it to be oriented in a special way. I stamped the black over the silver first aligning the image along the border between colors. After all 10 were done, I did the silver over the black the same way. I cleaned up again and put a final coat of SV.  Unfortunately, no mater how good I do, It will never look as good on my hands as it would on one of the ladies of the group. I use my hands a lot for work, so I have tough hands with many scars. My daughter thinks I have super powers because I can grab hot things from the stove without pot holder. I have a practice hand that I have used for other nail art stuff, but it is more fun to do it on a live hand. The next Mrs. Guy Polish will have to be a polish addict too!

I love this mani and will wear it until is starts to chip. I spent to much time to take it off.

  2. I love when people compliment me on my nails, because my nails suck but they like the design or polish. Its funny when they say something positive even though they think it is strange that I'm wearing it; that means the really like it.
