|One of the Polishes I bought at Hot Topics|
Nail polish was not on the radar this weekend until it decided to rain on Saturday. This enabled me to be lazy and practice with my dotting tools. I figure the only way to get good is to keep working at it. Making dots isn't hard, but placement and controlling the size can be. Also knowing how many is aesthetically pleasing is learned by trial and error. As you can see, I am still learning. I adored a pedi done by Cathy Richardson posted in Ask Cathy on Facebook. Her dots were bigger and were spaced further a part.
We tried to go see the new fast and furious 6, but it was sold out; that led to wandering the mall and finding the Black Heart Polishes in the Skull bottles. They were on sale, buy 2 and get one free. So that is three polishes in awesome bottles for $10. The blue above was for me and the two stacked polishes (not shown) were for my daughter. For a $3.33 polish the quality is great. It was almost a one coater, but I put a second coat just in case. I hate when I think I did good to find out in sunlight that it could have used another coat. I am liking this polish enough to leave it on for another day. A few of the ladies at church liked it. My aunt always brags about how good a job I do. Early in her life she was a nail tech, so she seems to accept my love of polish.
After spending a good amount of time on my nails, I couldn't just take it off. So I left that bright red with nail art on and went back to the mall to see fast and furious 6. (BTW, it was awesome) I was a little self conscious wearing a red that I associate with sex. I find bright reds a real turn on. My ex-wife used to have this color polish. I did it anyway and no one said a thing. The ticket girl didn't even say anything and neither did the people at the concession stand.
