Sorry, the flash makes my feet look red and blotchy.
I wasn't really fond of Skull & Glossbones on my toes, so I put Black Shatter over it. Still doesn't really do anything for me. I think the name of the polish is what made me buy it. I will try the Mermaid tears next and see how I like that.
Hi Jim, Just found this blog and it looks like you're pretty active, hope you keep it up. I'm a guy that loves nail polish as well. I've had shatter over OPI's Significant Other Color on my toes and I really wasn't too impressed with the shatter effect. It looked kinda cool, but was completely bumpy and not the shiny look I like.
ReplyDeleteI just had my first real "wearing out" this weekend. I have Essie's Over the Top on my toes and wore flip flops to a bunch of stores like Home Depot and Bed Bath and Beyond. What I thought might be a bunch of kids laughing at me turned out to be a complete non-event. I think only a few people even noticed my toes. I'd love to hear more about the reactions that you've gotten.
shatter looks cool on toes, must try!
ReplyDeleteNow that I have been wearing it for 24Hrs, I kind of like it. I will keep it until Friday when I go for my mani/pedi. I usually only get the pedicure but my hands are a mess. They need professorial help!
ReplyDeleteKris, Most times it is a total non event for me. Let me tell you, that is a good thing most of the time. I wouldn't mind a compliment once in a while. Do it for yourself and no one else. Enjoy expressing your individuality. I keep pushing the color envelope a little to see how far i can go before people say something. Maybe I need a neon orange pedi!
I would like to try a bright color under the shatter.
ReplyDeletewhoa Jim! you're awesome at applying the shatter lol have you seen the turquoise, I'm wearing it as a full mani (post in next few days) and it's hawt!
ReplyDeleteI am jealous, Trade Secret here still has none of the new shatters. I have been waiting for the silver. I like how it looks on Mermaid tears.
